I've always been a big fan of hurdle stepping and skipping. In fact for the past year, I've programmed hurdle stepping to the tune of 2-3 times per week for myself and my athletes. Sometimes I use it to warm up and other times I use it to cool down. There are times that I'll also include it in an extended dynamic training session to replace a run.
