The New Year’s Resolution

For those who know me, they know I’m not much for sitting around and waiting for the perfect opportunity.  Thus, I’ve never been a huge fan of the New Year’s Resolution process.  Instead, I’d much rather recognize a need or desire and start working for it immediately, but often the start of the new year lights a fire under people who otherwise would ignore certain needs.  Take a few minutes to sit down and think about what you’d truly like to accomplish.  Write them down, and keep them where you can check on them throughout the year.  Then, start out on your journey.  Do something everyday that will inch you one stride closer to success.  Don’t back away, and don’t be intimidated.

This year, I challenge you to develop a habit or two that will make you a stronger athlete, more well developed individual, and all around better person.  So what will you do this year to improve yourself over last year?  Will you read more books, add in strength training to your workouts, or work on injury prevention a little harder and more often?  Figure it out and let me know!
